Nana Billie & Papa Derrel have two Siberian huskies named Sable & Sadie. It is a treat for the kids to have some puppy-time when we visit since we live in a dog-free household (cats rule!). We were lucky to have some beautiful fall weather during our visit and joined Papa Derrel on some of his walks with the dogs. I love the bright fall foliage in these photos and the quiet camraderie between the dogs and the kids!

Papa Derrel does a beautiful job on this Halloween display! He posed with the kids after we were done with our walk.
We love the Neewollah celebration each year and are grateful for not only for our family & friends who help to make our visit such a treat, but also for the town of Independence, KS for hosting. Neewollah is a true highlight of our year!
