Just one day after we drove 14 hours back from New Hampshire, we were in the car again headed to southeast Kansas for our annual Neewollah trip. In two days, we would drive another 14 hours. The above photo shows Degen's feelings on the drive! He did this frequently during our drive, but (thankfully) slept a few hours during each leg. After we left the children's museum, he was asleep in less than 5 minutes (once again: best rest stop ever!). Kyrie mostly kept her sunny disposition- those hourly road trip gifts did much to keep her mind off the long hours on the road. I was able to take a few photos of the fall foliage in Indiana. There was also a lot of beautiful leaves in the rolling hills of Missouri before we got to the flat, plowed fields in too-dry Kansas, which held a beauty all its own.
