Afternoon At the Zoo

Wrapping up the summer with a trip to the zoo! We loved having Darren along for a trip to the zoo (and our first session of zoo school). Highlights were seeing the African cats and feeding the giraffes! It was a beautiful afternoon! 

Day Tripping

We took a trip to Cuyahoga Falls to look at a used car for Darren. Before we checked out the car, we checked out this classic drive-in food stand! We enjoyed homemade root beer and a lunch of classic American fare! Yum!

After we picked up the car, we made our way to the (man-made) falls of Cuyahoga. We took a short walk and enjoyed the scenery before heading back home.

King's Island '16

We followed up a night of tennis with a day at King's Island! I overdid it on the coasters a bit to start, but after some recovery time was able to join Darren & the kids on more rides! Degen went on his first upside-down roller coaster (which was probably my last!). We were too busy having fun to take too many pics. We finished the day with  funnel cake & smiles! 

Western & Southern Open '16

Back to the Western & Southern Open this year for a wonderful night of tennis. The clouds in the pic above look ominous, but the weather was great. It was a treat to watch Olympic gold medal winner, Andy Murray play (and win)!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We spent a pleasant summer evening in August cheering on the Columbus Clippers at our local ballpark! The Clippers won! 

Girl Scout Camp

At the beginning of August, Kyrie & I spent a weekend at Girl Scout camp with our troop! During the weekend, the girls focused on camping skills, crafts, archery and cooking. A good time was had by all, and the girls look forward to another troop camp next summer!
