Apple Peeler

I bought an apple peeler this year because I knew that I'd never make it through 300+ apples with a hand peeler. The first night I tested it out, I ended up with a fairly nasty slice on one of my fingers, but had everything figured out in time for the first batch of applesauce. Here's a short video showing how cool it is! I especially love all the piles of apple peel 'ribbons' it creates.

Tiny Dancer

Degen is the true music lover of the two children- his daddy's son! He has always loved music and has been dancing for almost as long as he's been walking. He stands on tiptoes to turn on the stereo and happily dances his way through whatever may be playing. We've been enjoying the top 40 summer jams lately, and he loves it! Here he is dancing to one of his favorite songs, Ke$ha's "Your Love Is My Drug."

Sweet Dreams

During our drive to Virginia, Degen got a little tired and fussy. So like any good mom, I knew it was time to pull out the candy. I gave him a lollipop and settled in for a few minutes of quiet, only to turn around a little while later and discover that he had fallen asleep. Being his father's son, Degen isn't one to let a little sleep get in the way of a tasty snack, so while he slept he continued to eat his lollipop! We thought that this was hilarious!

Fun Slide!

Kyrie & Darren went on this slide about 10 times! After Kyrie worked up the courage to go down by herself, Darren took Degen down a couple times. The kids LOVED it!
