Fantastic Caverns

On our way to Kansas this year, we stopped to tour Fantastic Caverns in Missouri. This cave tour was a bit different than what we did in Colorado because you took a tram through it. These caverns were large with amazing formations throughout. This was a great "rest stop" for our family!

Colorado16: Garden of the Gods II

These are the photos from our second trip to Garden of the Gods that we took with Darren on our last day in Colorado Spring. I love how beautiful these photos look with that gorgeous blue sky in the background. What a difference a day makes! I am so glad that we got to go back a second time and share this place with Darren.

Colorado16: Manitou Cliff Dwellings

Our final day in Colorado Springs, we started with a tour of the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. The best part about these is that you can go inside the dwellings. We had a great time free-exploring and then going back through the dwellings again and reading all the information. There is also a museum on-site where we learned more about the history of the Native Americans who built & inhabited the area.

Colorado16: Seven Falls

Slightly out of order, I nearly forgot that on Monday evening, we visited Seven Falls and had dinner at the restaurant at the base of the falls: 1808. I am just a little regretful that we didn't have more time to explore this park in the daylight and that we couldn't take Darren. It was really beautiful, but we didn't arrive until the evening and had to fit in a dinner reservation. The falls were beautiful! We climbed up just one set of stairs to the first level on the falls. Whew! I could feel that climb in my legs for the next few days of our trip.

All these night pics were taken after dinner.

I love how creepy this photo looks!
