Soon after we returned from Neewollah, our thoughts turned to preparing our shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. I saved shoeboxes for each child and filled them with small toys, clothes, candy and hygiene products. In church, we watched videos about kids who got shoeboxes, and I talked to Kyrie about what it meant when we made a shoebox for a little girl just like her who wouldn't have a Christmas. This year the kids had papers to fill out telling our shoebox recipients a little about them. I did Degen's and helped Kyrie fill out hers. Kyrie was proud to carry her shoebox into church on Sunday and place it on the table! I am ever-thankful for the opportunities that we have to share our blessings with others!
