Kyrie's birthday was the first day that the whole family would be together for the whole day. We were up early to make our reservation for Donald's Safari Breakfast at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The Animal Kingdom is a beautiful park and stands out for me because it has a lot more trees and just seems tropically lush. We were able to wander around by ourselves a bit before the park opened while we waited to get into the restaurant. Just as Darren was remarking how quiet and uncrowded the park seemed, the gates opened and a literal flood of people poured by.
Donald's Safari Breakfast was very nice. It took place in the Africa section of the park. We were able to get a family picture with Donald and then have quick visits with Daisy, Goofy and Mickey. It was a great start to our day!

Our favorite things about the Animal Kingdom were the safari ride and the large play area called "The Boneyard."

| While waiting for the 'Finding Nemo' show, Darren & the kids rocked out with this steel drum band. The musicians were great and even let the kids have a turn playing the steel drum! |
