Degen's train obsession persists! I have packed a small box of trains to take with us in the car, and forgetting that box in the car can lead to disaster. Earlier this week he found another child's train when we were at lunch and threw a major fit when we tried to give it back. Oh no! Thankfully, the other mom was very understanding and let him play with it for awhile. Then I was able to return the train after distracting Degen with food & a movie.
Building a large train track for all-day play has become a Sunday morning tradition. As soon as you pull out the tracks, he has trains in his hand and is running them across the tracks. He is especially taken with the battery-operated trains that run on their own. Unfortunately, we only have one that works right now. He runs that train all the time (track or no track), and every few days he will come to us with a screwdriver in-hand so that we can replace the batteries.
Degen's birthday is this Friday, and we have some great train surprises planned for him!
Ella had some fun with the trains, too!
