We took the train downtown to the beautiful & famous Union Station. We walked Olvera Street, the historic start of the city of Los Angeles before heading to Phillipe's (open since 1908) for some delicious French dip sandwiches from the restaurant that invented them. This was a real taste of L.A. history!
