Hard to believe that we have come to our last session of zoo school for the year. We had a beautiful day (after a lingering winter) and visited some of the animals before heading to the classroom.
This class was all about birds: bird watching & identification. The kids learned techniques for finding & identifying common, wild birds in Ohio. They tested their skills by identifying birds by their silhouettes and then played a game of bird BINGO before heading out into the zoo with binoculars in search of an assigned bird. We walked through part of the zoo and visited the aviary.
Before we left, we stopped off at the petting zoo and spent some time with the goats.
