A practice run down the aisle! |
The joyous occasion that brought us to Omaha was my best friend's wedding. Jessica and I met at summer camp more than 20 years ago. She is my best friend, sister and the godmother of our children. We love her and were beyond excited for her to marry Jack. We had the wedding rehearsal on Friday afternoon at St. Boniface Church in West Point, Nebraska, about 90 minutes outside of Omaha. The church is amazingly beautiful, and the rehearsal was lots of fun!

Love this pic! A big hug from Aunt Jess after a great job at rehearsal! |

The church! We were grateful for warm weather and blue skies, as snow had been falling the previous weekend. |
After the rehearsal, we headed back to Omaha's Old Market for the rehearsal dinner. It was located at the Omaha Healing Arts Center: a simple, yet beautiful spot. Everyone was in a joyful mood, excited for the wedding the next day. We mixed & mingled before sitting down to a delicious dinner!

Degen is always happy when a knife is included with his place setting. |
Jack & Jess surprised us with the sweetest gifts! The kids got personalized bags filled with all sorts of goodies, including some toy horses that Jess played with as a child. I got a darling clutch and a pair of beautiful earrings that I wore for the wedding. It was a very happy end to the evening, and we headed off to bed to get some good sleep before the big day tomorrow!

I love this girl more than words can express! |
