We stayed at the upscale W hotel in downtown Scottsdale for the first part of our trip. After an afternoon at the Desert Botanical Gardens, we were ready to cool off at the hotel's pool, called Wet. 90 degrees in the Phoenix sun is hot, but in the shade just perfect for lounging in a big, fluffy robe. Darren & the kids took a turn in the pool, but soon joined me to lounge in the shade. We were tired from our early morning flight, so it was nice to just sit back in a plushy lounge and soak up the afternoon.
