We have not done many community egg hunts as they tend to get a little crazy, but we found & registered for one at a small mall nearby this year. When we arrived, we were happily surprised to find the mall crowded not with egg-hunting kids, but a lively, indoor farmer's market. There were lots of vendors (most with yummy samples) with produce, meat, dairy products, baked goods, flowers & honey. There was a folk band, a face painter, puppeteer and art activities for the kids. We wandered the market before Degen picked up a bucket to find the 10 "best" eggs. Inside he found candy and trinkets for prizes. Later we would meet friends and Kyrie would find her 10 eggs. We had a great morning!
This was the first time the kids had their faces painted by a professional! They picked out the design they likes best and wore it happily the rest of the day!
