Darren's conference began in the evening, so the kids & I headed for dinner & treats at the famous Sugar Bowl in downtown Scottsdale, not too far from the hotel. The Sugar Bowl was featured several times in Bill Keane's 'Family Circus' cartoon. It is more than 50 years old and is known for its extravagant ice cream confections! For dinner, we shared a fruit plate and ordered ice cream for dessert! This was a sweet end to our first day in Phoenix!
