It seems appropriate to follow our Valentine's Day/Love unit with our unit about family. This unit, Kyrie worked on her My Family Story badge for Brownies. The kids made family trees for their folders, and we spent a lot of time talking about where our family comes from, our stories and our traditions. We also took a field trip to the history museum. They have a fabulous 50s exhibit there that prompted a lot of discussions about the lives of the kids' grandparents and great-grandparents.
