Homeschool: Transportation & Space

Some of our books

Our transportation & space unit is always a fun one. This is one of the units that we have had since Kyrie was a toddler and has been built upon through the years. This unit has a nice flow from our unit about community because in that unit, we talk a little about jobs and the vehicles that those jobs use.

For Degen, this unit still has information about how things move and different types of vehicles. For Kyrie, this unit is mostly about the solar system & space. Though we also talked about the scientific principles of flight.

Degen's vocabulary 'book' for this unit. He identifies the letters, traces the word, writes the word and draws a picture.

Kyrie is working on cursive writing. She really tries hard, and I am glad to see that it is neater than her manuscript writing.
