Maryland Renaissance Festival

The girl who did her hair was very sweet! Kyrie picked out the braid she wanted via IPhone before we arrived.

We hadn't been to the Renaissance Festival since Degen was still in the baby-sling, so we were all excited to spend the day at this spectacular event! There was more than we could ever do in a day, but we made the most of our time with shows, food, drinks, games, (LOTS) of people-watching and fun! The kids wore simple costumes (I was worried about the heat): Kyrie was a woodland sprite and Degen a pirate. Of course, they were spoiled all day long by parents & grandparents alike. Kyrie had her hair fancily plaited first thing (thank you, Ms. Londa!) and got lots of compliments throughout the day. Degen got his face painted and a pair of horns (thanks, Dude!). We just had an overall great day together, the only drawback being that there just wasn't enough time to see and do everything! We are definitely going to put this on next year's vacation to-do list!

That smile says it all!

Beautiful!

Johnny Fox puts on a great show! One of our favorites!

Darren did this just for Degen... what a good daddy! He was "crowned" a warrior king for his strength!

Degen LOVED playing the games!

Dude let him get his face painted!

The wooden jambiya was Degen's souvenir.

I love these horns! Next year, I just might have to get a pair for myself! My little devil!

Dude let Kyrie pick out a flower-crown! She has wanted one for years! She was so happy!

Glutton is right! Spoiled-rotten kids!

The kids took a ride on the elephant. She was very sweet and completely pampered by her keeper who fed her treats on each 'leg' of her short journey and petted & massaged her at every stop.

I should have cropped this- eek!, but here's our happy, RenFamily!

Crossbows!
