This year's Neewollah Kiddie Parade float theme was Pinocchio! Kyrie decided on Pinocchio from a list of choices from Nana Billie earlier in the year. Darren was Geppetto, I was Jiminy Cricket, Kyrie was the Blue Fairy and Degen was Pinocchio. As usual, Papa Derrel designed & built the float, and Nana Billie made all the costumes. Everything was super-cute, especially Degen's Pinocchio costume, which had Nana Billie on an Ebay search for the out-of-print sewing pattern. She found the pattern in Australia and had it shipped to Kansas! Wow! We had a lot of fun this year! Both kids really understand what is going on and were excited for the parade. Big love & thanks to Papa Derrel & Nana Billie for all their hard work in making this our best Neewollah Kiddie Parade yet!

I loved my costume! |

Darren in "the workshop." Papa Derrel added a lot of great details to the float, including this little workbench and a fluffy Figaro who really moved & meowed! |

Both kids waving to the crowd during the parade. Degen's nose was not the most comfortable thing, and he was a trooper until just the last part of the parade! |

Our happy family of characters! |
