Rooms with a View

A very special package arrived in the mail last week! It came from Kansas and had a very particular shape! This was the package we had been talking about for weeks!

Kyrie's dollhouse from Papa Derrel was here! Kyrie was completely thrilled, though I made her wait for Darren to get home so that he could move it and unwrap it. The unpacking was a big, after-dinner production!

Kyrie is completely in love with her dollhouse bookcase! Papa Derrel did a beautiful job (as always)! 

Kyrie couldn't wait to get the dollhouse rooms we had been saving for her, and immediately began to fill the house with some of her dolls and playthings.

And with such luxurious accommodations, the kids themselves wanted to try out the rooms!

We wanted to showcase this beautiful piece of furniture and make sure that Kyrie could play, play, play to her heart's content, so we had to rearrange her bedroom. This, of course, led to rearranging the playroom, too.

Both spaces look great, and Kyrie has already spent hours & hours playing with the dollhouse. We gave her a family and some basic decor and then put other people and rooms into her prize bucket. We also brought up all her other dolls and other play sets that might enjoy living in the dollhouse.
