In early September, we were delighted to take the kids to Colorado on a family vacation. Darren & I had both been as children, but never together. We were excited for the kids to experience the mountains. Our first stop was the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge outside Denver (where we would spend the next two days). We did a driving tour and hiked one of the wetland trails. This was a great start to our trip. We saw a bison, an owl and several prairie dogs.
