We were happy to go to our first baseball game of the season! We had great weather and first row seats off the third row baseline, and Kyrie & I marched in the pre-game parade. There was an at-capacity crowd or nearly 11,200 for the Girl Scout Night.

Flowers
This year, Darren planted a bulb garden in front of the house. We have really enjoyed the flowers that have come in, and it has been so nice to have fresh flowers in the house.
Patriotic Snack
As part of our July Fourth and our America unit, the kids made Lincoln's Log Cabin snacks. The kids had a lot of fun putting these together and enjoyed eating them up!

Masters of Disguise
Every year, VBS has a theme dress-up day. This year the kids dressed up like spies. Degen went as a super-hero spy, and Kyrie went as a rock star spy.
VBS 2013: International Spy Academy
It wouldn't be summer without Vacation Bible School at Linworth Baptist! The kids & I enjoyed a fun-filled week at the International Spy Academy! The kids had a lot of fun with the theme and spent their mornings hearing stories, singing songs, playing games & doing crafts! I was a teacher with Degen's pre-k group. There was a great group of volunteers and over 350 kids who participated!
This was my group of kiddos! We had fourteen 4- & 5- year olds. They were a great group of kids! |
Kyrie was in her own group, so I didn't have many chances to see her in the mornings (or get pictures). |
This picture just cracks me up. I keep imagining Degen saying, "VBS is FAB-u-LOUS!" |
