Friends

Seven years ago, we joined our first playgroup when Kyrie was just a few months old. We are blessed to still have close friends from that original group. Time & circumstance led us to a large playgroup, and fate finally landed us in the hearts of a small group of families who have been our playgroup & friends for nearly 5 years. We have been through a lot of firsts and joys and changes together, and I am so proud to say that we remain friends. Here are a few pics of some of our playgroup friends! Our Darling Duo

We are blessed (though often challenged) by these two kiddos! It is an amazing experience to be their parents, especially their mother. I love our days together and watching them learn & grow- I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to teach them. We make lots of mistakes, but we make those mistakes together. We are proud of the the people they are growing to become! Mommy & Daddy love you very much!

Degen At Age 4

Our baby boy is quickly becoming a little man! This past year, he has joined more & more big kid activities, such as: piano, tennis and art. He continues dance and gymnastics. Degen loves sports, playing with his sister and playing on the IPad. He is often very focused on his tasks and can sometimes become frustrated when he can't do something he wants to do. I have added a lot of new concepts to Degen's homeschool lessons this year. He is now learning the alphabet, counting, number skills, shapes and early science concepts. He can recite the alphabet, count to over 20, recognize most shapes & colors and do simple cutting. He really enjoys counting! Though they don't always agree and it can be hard to share, Degen is a loyal brother and quick to come to the defense of his sister. He has a very silly streak- he is giggly and ticklish and often laughs his way through a piano practice. We look forward to another great year with a handsome son! We love you, Degen Richard Aurelius!

Degen grew 3 inches in the past year and gained 5 pounds! Wow! The pediatrician is a little concerned about his speech, which can be difficult to understand, so we have been referred to Columbus Speech & Hearing for an evaluation. Our appointment is in mid-April. 

Degen: Height- 3 ft. 3 inches (25%-ile)

Kyrie At Age 7

This has been a really good year for Kyrie! She has grown up in so many ways in the past year. She is as busy as ever with: piano, play dates, riding lessons, tennis, gymnastics, art, dance, German school and homeschool. She is a good friend and a great big sister, eager to share her smile & laughter with those around her! In the past year, Kyrie has learned to read. She mastered a list of over 220 sight words and continues to build her phonics skills & fluency. She has a great imagination and often constructs elaborate games and scenarios during free play with her brother. She loves to learn about different cultures and wants to travel the world. We are so proud of the little lady she has become! We love you, Kyrie Belle Alyce!
